The petitioner herein, a Teacher in the Panchayat Unioin Middle School, Thirukadyur, Mayiladuthurai District, was arrested on 21.06.2025 for sexually harassing the minor school children. 1/5

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner is an innocent person and has been falsely implicated in this case by the respondent Police. He further states that the petitioner has been in judicial custody from 21.06.2025. Hence, prays for grant of bail to the petitioner. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondent Police states that seven children have given statement against this petitioner for his acts of sexual harassment, and based on these statements, the final report has been filed and the case is pending before the Special Court for POCSO Act, Mayiladuthurai. Hence, opposed for grant of bail to the petitioner. 4.Heard the learned counsels on either side and perused the materials available on record.

5.Considering the gravity of the offence committed by the petitioner which is reflected from the statements of the children, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
