ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for the issue of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to ensure strict enforcement of the order passed by the nd respondent through proceedings dated 21.06.2024 and to permit the petitioner and his family members to participate in the temple festival scheduled on 23.08.2025 at Kallakurickki Village, Krishnagiri District.

Heard Mr.S.Ramesh Babu, the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.T.M.Rajangam, the learned Government Advocate for 1 st and 2 nd respondents and Mr.V.Meganathan, the learned Government Advocate (Crl side) for the respondents 3 & 5 and Mr.K.Karthikeyan, the learned Government Advocate for the 4 th respondent.

It is seen that already a peace committee meeting was conducted and the Revenue Divisional Officer through proceedings dated 21.06.2024 has taken a decision to ensure that the temple festival is conducted in a peaceful manner. The grievance of the petitioner is that inspite of the decision taken by the Revenue Divisional Officer, no steps have been taken to permit the petitioner and his family members to participate in the temple festival. Under these
circumstances, the present writ petition came to be filed before this Court.
4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances and considering the proceeding of the 2 nd respondent dated 21.06.2024, the petitioner and his family members shall be permitted to participate in the temple festival scheduled on 23.08.2025 at Kallakurickki Village, Krishnagiri District and the th respondent shall ensure that no law and order problem is created. It is made clear that the petitioner and his family members will be permitted to participate in the temple festival without seeking for any preferential right and after offering their prayers, they will disperse in a peaceful manner.
5. This writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions, if any, are closed. 21-08-2025 Note: Issue order copy on 22.08.2025.
