This Criminal Original Petition is filed for quashing the FIR in Crime No.443 of 2023 on the file of the H-5, New Washermenpet Police Station, Chennai.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the defacto complainant and the accused have entered into a compromise and therefore, the FIR has to be quashed.

If it is so, the petitioner and the defacto complainant shall appear and report before the Investigating Officer, who is investigating the case. If the matter could be dropped, appropriate decision will be taken by the Investigating Officer.

With this observation, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
