ORDER
The petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner for 1 / 4
compassionate appointment, based on the representation, dated 07.07.2025.
2. The petitioner's husband had been appointed as Driver on 02.11.2015, vide Na.Ka.A/5253/2015, dated 02.11.2015 by the first respondent and submitted his joining report on the same day on 02.11.2015. Subsequently, he was posted to Thimiri Rural Development Office and his salary was fixed as Rs.5200+2400 GP-PB1-5200, 20200+2400 GP, vide Na.Ka.A1/2661/2015, dated 21.11.2015. The petitioner's husband died due to sudden heart attack on 28.05.2024 while in service, and a FIR was also registered at Ranipet Police Station, in Crime No.154.

After the death of the petitioner's husband, the petitioner had approached the respondents and requested to give her an appointment on compassionate grounds through representation dated 24.06.2024, since her husband died in harness during his service and since she is surviving without any source of income.
4. The petitioner parallelly requested to release his terminal benefits such as gratuity, insurance premium, etc., but till date, no action was taken by the respondents and hence, the petitioner had made representations on 30.09.2024, 03.03.2025 and finally on 07.07.2025 to the first respondent. The petitioner's qualification certificate and other particulars were submitted thereafter and she made several representations on several occasions and requested to sanction her deceased husband's terminal benefits, such as gratuity, pension and 2 / 4
insurance.
5. Learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.
6. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.
7. Without going into the merits of the case and taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, this Writ Petition is disposed of, with a direction to the respondents to consider the above said representations, and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
8. There shall be no order as to costs.
