Heard Mr.T.C.Gopalakrishnan, learned Standing Counsel, appearing for the respondents. 2.This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner in the year 2006, for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to transfer the property tax assessment in his name, in respect of property in question.
3.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents does not have any instructions as to what is the present state of affairs.

4.In the light of the same, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served by directing the authority to consider the petitioner's representation. Therefore, liberty is granted to the petitioner to file a fresh representation before the authority concerned, which, if submitted, shall be considered on merits and in accordance with law, after notice to all concerned.
