Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a Writ of Mandamus forbearing the respondents from permitting the K.K.Nagar, Kizhpettai people cremating or burying the dead bodies in the patta land in Survey No.99 of Krishnampalayam village, Shoolagiri taluk, Krishnagiri district and direct the respondents to take necessary remedial measures, enabling all the community people, including the people belonging to Adhivasi community to cremate / bury the dead bodies in the common burial ground in Survey No.88 / 1 of K.K.Nagar, Kizhpettai, Shoolagiri taluk, Krishnagiri district on the basis of the representation, dated 15.06.2022 within the time to be stipulated by this Court. (Order of the Court is made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Ms.R.Divyapreathika, learned Counsel appearing on behalf of Mr.R.Bharath Kumar, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.Edwin Prabakar, learned State Government Pleader for the respondents. 2/5

2. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that people cannot be permitted to bury dead bodies in the patta land in Survey No.99 of Krishnampalayam village, Shoolagiri taluk, Krishnagiri district.

3. The learned State Government Pleader submits that process has been commenced to classify the land in S.No.128 / 1 as burial ground and to bury dead bodies in the said land.

4. In view of the said statement, at present no orders are necessary. In case, the cause arises, the petitioner may agitate afresh.
