By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of Mandamus to 1/4
direct 2nd respondent to release petitioner's release deed vide document No.P/Navalur/23/2025 dated 11.08.2025 on the file of 2nd respondent.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for petitioner that petitioner's husband purchased the property comprised in Survey No.155/49A1A1A (Old S.No.155) measuring an extent of 2460 sq.feet situated at Thazhambur Village, Vandalur Taluk, Chengalpattu District from one Dhanabal vide sale deed document No.718/1983, Book 1 on the file of the Sub-Registrar, Thiruporur, Chengalpattu District. It is stated that patta was issued in Patta No.287 in favour of petitioner's husband. While so, petitioner's husband passed away on 05.03.2011 intestate leaving behind petitioner, their two daughters and one son as legal heirs. It is further stated that legal heir certificate was also issued in favour of petitioner and her children vide Legal heir certificate No.PA.MU.5489/2011, thereafter, petitioner along with her children became the owner of the subject property.
3.1. It is submitted that oral partition was entered into between the petitioner and her children, based on the partition petitioner and her two daughters shared 3/4th of the subject property and the remaining 1/4th of the undivided share was left with her son. Thereafter, petitioner and her daughters decided to release their share of the subject property viz., 3/4th share in favour of 2/4
petitioner's son. It is further stated that they submitted a release deed for registration before the 2nd respondent on 11.08.2025, which was registered vide Document No.P/Navalur/23/2025 dated 11.08.2025, however, it is stated that 2nd respondent has not released the document till date. Aggrieved, petitioner has approached this Court by way of this writ petition .
4. At the outset, it is submitted by Mr.R.Sasi Kumar, learned Government for respondents on instructions that the above document has in fact been registered and that the same would be released within a week from today.
5. Recording the same, the writ petition stands disposed of. The respondents are directed to release the registered document dated 11.08.2025 within a week from today. No costs.
