The petitioner was arrested on 20.07.2025 for the offence under Section 8 (c), 20 (b) (ii) (B) of NDPS Act, in Cr.No.165 of 2025. 1/5

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner who hails from West Bengal was found in possession of 3kg of Ganja which was seized at Railway Station, Coimbatore. He was arrested on 20.07.2025 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner is an innocent person and has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submits that the petitioner has been in judicial custody from 20.07.2025. Hence, prays for grant of bail to the petitioner.

4.The bail petition is opposed by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondent Police on the ground that the investigation has not been completed and lab report is awaited. If the petitioner is released at this stage, he may abscond and it will be difficult to secure him. Hence, opposed for grant of bail to the petitioner. 5.Heard the learned counsels on either side and perused the materials available on record.

6.Recording the objection of the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side), this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 20.08.2025 ep To 1.The Inspector of Police, PEW Police Station, Coimbatore City.
