O R D E R

[Order of this Court was made by R.SUBBIAH, J] The present Contempt Petition has been filed alleging non-compliance of the order of this Court passed in W.P.No.29655 of 2015 dated 16.11.2017, wherein this Court directed the respondent to look into the allegations made in the representation dated 12.01.2015, alleged to have been given by the petitioner and to proceed further in accordance with the provisions of Section 83 of the Registration Act, 1908, within a period of two months from the date of such order.

2. Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondent.

3. Today, the compliance report of the respondent dated 20.01.2020 is filed wherein it has been stated that pursuant to the order of this Court dated 16.11.2017, an enquiry was conducted and an order was passed directing the Sub-Registrar, Virugambakkam, i.e. the third respondent in W.P.No.29655 of 2015, to take steps to file a criminal 2/4

complaint and an FIR under the provisions of Section 83 of the Indian Registration Act. It is further stated that the said order was also communicated to the petitioner.

4. In the aforestated circumstance, this Court finds that the order of this Court has been complied with and nothing survives for further adjudication in the present petition.

Recording the compliance report of the respondent dated 20.01.2020, the Contempt Petition is closed.
