Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying to transfer the investigation of the above said case in Crime No.686 of 2019 on the file of the 3rd respondent herein viz., The Inspector of Police, Cheyyar Police Station, Thiruvannamalai District to the file of the Superintendent of Police, CBCID, Thiruvannamalai, Thiruvannanalai District or to any other competent investigating agency for proper investigation and to file a final report before competent court. ORDER

This petition has been filed to transfer the investigation of the above said case in Crime No.686 of 2019 on the file of the 3rd respondent herein viz., The Inspector of Police, Cheyyar Police Station, Thiruvannamalai District to the file of the Superintendent of Police, CBCID, Thiruvannamalai, Thiruvannanalai District 2.Heard both sides.

3.Admittedly the petitioner herein is the accused in Crime No.686 of 2019 on the file of the 3rd respondent. Therefore, the accused/petitioner has no say in the investigation so far done by the police officials. Hence this petition is devoid of merits. The accused cannot choose the investigation officer.

4. In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
