The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 20.07.2025, for the offence punishable under Sections 8(c), 20(b) (ii)(B), 29(1), of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 in Cr.No.215 of 2025, on the file of the respondent, seeks bail. 1/3
2. The petitioner was found in possession of 6.25 kgs of ganja and the same was illegally transported in a two wheeler. He was arrested on 20.07.2025 along with two other accused.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that the investigation is at nascent stage. He further submitted that two of the accused has already been detained under Act 14 of 1982 and one more accused is absconding. Hence, he opposed for grant of bail to the petitioner.
4. In the said circumstances, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition for bail stands dismissed.
