The petitioners herein apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent 1/4
police for the offences punishable under Sections 296(b), 85 of BNS r/w Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, on the file of the respondent Police.
2. The case of the prosecution is that the matrimonial dispute has led to the registration of CSR.No.608 of 2025, wherein the petitioner is called for an enquiry.
3. On considering the nature of the complaint, this petition stands disposed of. The petitioner is directed to appear before the respondent police on receipt of summons and participate in the CSR enquiry. The said enquiry is to be completed within a period of three weeks from today. The respondent police shall not take any coercive action unless and until no cognizable offence is made out, during the course of the enquiry.
