Today, when the matter came up for hearing, the learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board would submit that pending the writ petition, the petitioner and the workmen have entered into a settlement under Section 12(3) of the Industrial Disputes Act by which the respondents workmen have all been absorbed into the service of the petitioner Board and nothing further remains to be adjudicated in the writ petition. 3/5

Recording the above submission, the Writ Petition is closed as having become infructuous. No costs.
