The Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondent police to expedite the investigation in Crime No.222 of 2025 and file a final report before the appropriate Court. 1/4

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though, based on the complaint given by the petitioner/de facto complainant, the respondent registered a case in Crime No.222 of 2025, no final report has been filed till date. Hence, the present petition has been filed.

Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that the investigation is in progress and respondent police will be able to file the final report within a period of four weeks.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent.

In view of the above, the respondent police is directed to file either a final report or a closure report in Crime No.222 of 2025, as the case may be, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, under due intimation to the de facto complainant. 6.
With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
