PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider the petitioner's appeal filed under Section 12 of the Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act, 1983 dated 10.08.2022 pending on its file and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law after affording the petitioner, an opportunity of personal hearing within a time frame. This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's appeal filed under Section 12 of the Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act, 1983 dated 10.08.2022.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents and perused the materials available on record.

3. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, this Court directs the first respondent to dispose the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 10.08.2022 in accordance with law, after giving notice to the petitioner, private respondents 3 and 4 and interested parties/rival claimants if any, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the abovesaid direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
