This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the learned Metropolitan Magistrate for Exclusive trial of CCB and CBCID Metro Cases, Egmore, Chennai to dispose of the above case in C.C No.8595 of 2019 within a time to be fixed by this Court.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the 1st respondent.
3. The petitioner is the affected party and PW1 in C.C No.8595 of 2019 pending on the file of the learned Metropolitan Magistrate for Exclusive trial of CCB and CBCID Metro Cases, Egmore, Chennai.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that despite the petitioner has given the complaint in the year 2017, charge sheet has been filed in the year 2019 and the case has been taken on file during 2019, so far no progress has taken place; this petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned trial Judge to dispose the matter within a specified time frame. 2/6
5. On perusal of the e-court adjudication, it is seen that the de-facto complainant died and the evidence is against the property. On 29.12.2021, PW1 was present and she was examined in chief. From then onwards, the matter stands posted for PW1's evidence till 11.07.2022.
6. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that eventhough PW1 was examined in chief, cross examination is yet to be done; one more witness viz., LW.4 was examined as PW2 on 11.07.2022 and he was also not cross examined yet.
7. Since the matter is pending from the year 2019, it is appropriate to impress the learned Metropolitan Magistrate for Exclusive trial of CCB and CBCID Metro Cases, Egmore, Chennai, to expedite the trial and dispose the case more preferably, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

8. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
