Respondent(s) PRAYER The writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to mutate all the revenue records and issue patta in name of the petitioner for S.No.382 /4 Ward No.D, Block No.3, town survey number 14/1 Tambaram Village, Tambaram Taluk, Chengalpattu district by considering the representation made on 29.03.2024.

ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking for a Mandamus to direct the respondents to mutate all the Revenue Records and issue patta in the name of 1/4
the petitioner for the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition, based on the representation dated 29.03.2024.
2. Till date counter has not been filed by the respondents.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that since the Urban Land Ceiling proceedings have been quashed pursuant to the orders passed by this Court in the writ petition filed by the petitioner's vendor, the Revenue records have to be mutated for the subject property in favour of the petitioner and patta has to be issued. The petitioner has given a representation on 29.03.2024 requesting the respondents to issue patta in her favour for the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition in view of the quashing of the Urban Land Ceiling proceedings over the subject property. Since the said representation has not been considered by the respondents, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents on instructions would submit that the enquiry has already been commenced on the petitioner's representation dated 29.03.2024 seeking for mutation of Revenue Records and for issuance of patta in favour of the petitioner. He would submit that this Court may direct the third respondent to pass final orders on merits and 2/4
in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation after giving due consideration to the contentions of the petitioner as raised in this writ petition as well as the documents filed along with the same and the said direction will be duly complied with by the third respondent.

After hearing the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the third respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation seeking for mutation of the revenue records over the property morefully described in the prayer to the writ petition, after giving due consideration to the petitioner's contention that the Urban Land Ceiling proceedings over the property has been quashed pursuant to the orders passed by this Court in the writ petition filed by the petitioner's vendor, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
