O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent police to conduct an enquiry on the basis of the petitioner's complaint dated 09.11.2022 and register the same within the time frame stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that he has given a complaint on 09.08.2022 against one Baskaran on the allegation of cheating of Rs.81,00,000/-; but so far no fruitful action has been taken and hence a direction should be given to register the FIR.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that on the complaint given by the petitioner, current paper enquiry has been initiated in C.No.SPGP/3039/22 and the enquiry is in progress. 2/4

5. In that case, the second respondent shall complete the enquiry on the said complaint and do the needful within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If the result of the enquiry is not satisfactory to the petitioner, he is at liberty to initiate appropriate proceedings by invoking Section 156(3) or 200 of Cr.P.C. before the appropriate forum.

6. With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed.
