The petitioner herein, the Village Head, had forced the signature of 1/3
Village Administrative Officer and issued a legal heir certificate with a forged seal. Hence, a complaint by the Village Administrative Officer was registered on 30.07.2025 in Crime No.246 of 2025 for the offence alleged under Sections 318(4), 337 of BNS.
2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent submits that the grave offence of forging revenue seal and the signature of the Revenue Officer was committed by this petitioner, and the custody of this petitioner is required to find out the source of the Revenue seal used by the petitioner herein to forge the legal heir certificate. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
