The petitioner was arrested on 07.08.2025 for the offence under Sections 8 (c) r/w 20 (b) (ii) (A) of NDPS Act and Section 4 (1) (C) r/w 4 (1A)(ii) of Tamil Nadu Prohibition (Amendment) Act 2024, in Cr.No.273 of 2025. 1/4
2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was found in illegal possession of 10g of Ganja and 10 bottles of liquor. Hence, the case 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner seeks bail on the ground that the petitioner is seventy-five years old lady and she has been in Prison for nearly twenty days.
4.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondent Police states that the petitioner is a habitual drug peddler. Eleven cases are pending against her. Despite being granted bail with conditions, she has breached those conditions and has continuously indulged in drug peddling. 5.Heard the learned counsels on either side and perused the materials available on record.
6.Considering the antecedent of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
