The petitioner/A7 seeks bail in Crime No.214 of 2023 registered by the respondent police for the offences punishable under Section 302 of IPC. He had been arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 15.07.2023.

2. It is stated that the defacto complainant is the wife of the deceased. The deceased had been murdered on 11.07.2023 by the accused persons.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner is under detention for quite considerable period of time however, on the side of the respondent it is stated that A1 and A2 had been detained under Act 14 of 1982 and A6 had been granted bail.

4. It is stated that after investigation, final report having been filed as PRC.No.147 of 2023 and the same is pending before the XIII Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai.

5. Taking into consideration all these factors, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner herein. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. Let the matter be committed and thereafter, the bail application will be considered, if there is any change in circumstances.
