Respondents PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code, praying to direct the second respondent to give 1/4

police protection to the petitioner and his property in Survey Nos.13/1, 14, 15/2, 21/1, in all measuring 3.39 acres at the time fencing and/or raising the compound wall in Survey No.21/1 measuring 1.34 acres situate in Kolapakkam Village (present), Vandalur Taluk, Chengalpattu District. This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to provide police protection to the petitioner and his lands by considering the representation dated 26.09.2022. 2.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is being threatened by some unknown antisocial elements that he should not enter into his lands and hence, he has filed this petition seeking police protection. He further submitted that the petitioner has filed a 2/4

civil suit in O.S.No.167 of 2019 before the District Munsif, Chengalpattu and it is pending.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 submitted that on the representation given by the petitioner dated 26.09.2022, current paper enquiry has been initiated and it is under consideration.

In view of the above, I feel it is appropriate to direct the second respondent police to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26.09.2022 and do the needful in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.

With these observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
