THE HONOURABLE DR.JUSTICE G.JAYACHANDRAN CRL OP No. 23003 of 2025 1.M.Arun Pandiyan 2.G.Jagadeesan ... Petitioners Vs State rep.by The Inspector of Police, Ramanatham Police Station, Cuddlore District.

(Crime No.183 of 2025) ....Respondent PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the B.N.S.S., to enlarge the petitioners on anticipatory bail in the event of their arrest in respect of Crime No.183 of 2025 on the file of the respondent Police. For Petitioner :

Mr.S.Vinoth Kumar Government Advocate (Crl.Side) ********** 1 / 4

O R D E R

The petitioner herein apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent for the alleged offence under Section 25 1(A) Arms Act, 1959, in Crime No.183 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the de-facto complainant and the petitioners are close relatives. A family dispute had arisen between them for the past couple of months. On the date of occurrence, there was a wordy quarrel between them. At about 10.30p.m., when the de-facto complainant's daughter was alone at home, the petitioners/accused, while riding their vehicle near her residence, fired a shot over the de-facto complainant's compound wall with a country gun. Hence, the case.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) reiterated the prosecution case and he vehemently opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 2 / 4

4. Considering the nature of the offence, there is every likelihood of the petitioner absconding unless and until he is arrested. Further, since the gun used for intimidation has been recovered, there is always a threat to the de-facto complainant. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 20-08-2025 nvi To 1.The Judicial Magistrate, Thittagudi.

2. The Inspector of Police, Ramanatham Police Station, Cuddlore District.
