Mr. S. Senthilnathan, learned counsel on record for writ petitioner, submitted that the sole writ petitioner, viz., S. Sivakumar, is no more, the captioned main 'writ petition' (hereinafter 'WP' for the sake of brevity) has abated and the same may please be dismissed as abated. Learned counsel submitted that he does not have instructions from any legal heir of the writ petitioner. Learned counsel has made an endorsement in the case file in this regard and a scanned reproduction of the same is as follows:

Learned counsel on record for writ petitioner placed before us a copy of the death certificate of writ petitioner and a scanned reproduction of the same is as follows:

To be noted, the death certificate shows that the date of demise of writ petitioner is 31.08.2024.

In the light of the narrative thus far, captioned main WP is dismissed as abated. Consequently, captioned 'writ miscellaneous petition' (hereinafter 'WMP' for the sake of brevity) thereat perishes with the captioned main WP. In other words, captioned WMP thereat is dismissed.
