ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the Learned Judge, Family Court, Nagapattinam for early disposal of the pending Crl.M.P.No.2/2022 in M.C.No.01/2019.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the she had filed a petition for maintenance in M.C.No.1 of 2019 and final Order has been passed in the case on 22.10.2021. Thereafter, the petitioner had filed Crl.M.P.No.2 of 2022 for enhancement of maintenance amount, Crl.M.P.No.3 of 2022 to recover arrears of maintenance for the period from 11.04.2022 to 26.11.2022 and Crl.M.P.No.4 of 2022 to recover the arrears of amount for the period from 27.11.2022 to 26.11.2023. The grievance of the petitioner is that even after the Order passed in the maintenance case, the respondent had not paid any amount to the petitioner and she is unable to maintain herself without getting the due maintenance from the respondent. Though the above petitions have been filed in the year 2022, there is no progress in enquiry. Hence, seeks for a direction for early disposal of the above petitions.

3. Considering the limited relief sought in this petition, without going into the merits of the case, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the Judge, Family Court, Nagapattinam to dispose of the petitions in Crl.M.P.Nos.2, 3 and 4 of 2022 expeditiously. 04-09-2025 Index:Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Internet:Yes vrc To
