The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus directing the respondents to reinstate the petitioner back in service as an employee under consolidated wages in the Salem Silk Handloom Weavers' Co-operative Production and Sale Society Ltd., in the light of the petitioner's representation dated 23.08.2024.
2. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has not been allowed to continue his work since 25.04.2024. Hence, he has sent a representation dated 23.08.2024, which is pending before the respondents.
4. At this juncture, the learned counsel for the respondents would submit that the petitioner has already filed a Writ Petition, wherein this Court rejected the petitioner's prayer to continue him on consolidated pay. Hence, the respondents prayed for dismissal of the present Writ Petition.
5. I have given my anxious consideration to either side submissions.
6. While perusing the above order of the Writ Petition, the respondents themselves had admitted that the petitioner had been continuing on a daily wage basis. Upon reviewing the petitioner's representation, it appears that, according to the petitioner, he was restrained from work since 25.04.2024, and it is apparent that such representation is pending with the respondents. 3/6

In view of the above peculiar circumstances, without going into the merits of this Writ Petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.08.2024, and pass orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
8. In the result, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
