The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence punishable under Sections 406 and 420 IPC and Sections 4(1) and 76(1) of the Chit Funds Act, 1982, in Crime No.32 of 2023, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondent. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner stated that the petitioner has been arrayed as A1 and A3 alone is running the chit Company, but A3 had been granted bail. However, it is the specific case in the FIR that all the three accused persons were running the chit Company under the name of Women Social Welfare Organisation Trust Chit Fund Company. mkn2/kp Rs.39,39,000/- (Rupees Thirty Nine Lakhs and Thirty Nine Thousand Only) had been collected. So far as the present petitioner is concerned, it is the specific case of the prosecution that a sum of Rs.4,00,000/- (Rupees Four Lakhs Only) had been collected.

4. In view of the fact that the investigation will have to be conducted about the collection and claim of money, at this stage, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner and the petition stands dismissed.

5.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
