Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the application dated 20.04.2022 for the issuance of community certificate to the petitioner and his children namely S.Sharuna and S.Tarun Siddhu that they belong to Kurichchan (ST) Community.

(Order of the Court was made by R.SUBRAMANIAN, J.) The petitioner seeks a writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to dispose of his application seeking community certificate for him and his children.

2. In support of his claim, the petitioner has produced his own Transfer Certificate issued by the Educational Institution viz., The Dharmapuri District Co-operative Sugar Mills Polytechnic and the school records of his children, apart from producing the sale deed of the year 1989 executed in favour of his mother.

3. The application for community certificate appears to have been made in April 2022. Taking into account the fact that more than six months elapsed, there will be a direction to the respondent, the Revenue Divisional Officer, Dharmapuri to dispose of the application of the petitioner within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the 2/4

order. No costs.
