This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 08.08.2023 and to take action under Section 53 of the Waqf Act, 1995, within the time frame fixed by this Court.

2. Heard Mr.A.Ajimath Begum, learned counsel for petitioner and Mrs.Rajeswari Karthikeyan, learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondents.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the property belonging to the Waqf has been transferred in contravention of the Waqf Act. The petitioner submitted a representation in this regard and since no action was taken, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court. 2/4

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the respondents to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 08.08.2023 on its own merits and in accordance with law after issuing notice to the interested parties, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
