O R D E R

This petition for anticipatory bail has been filed by the petitioner in connection with Crime No.Not Known of 2025 registered by the respondent police for the alleged offence under Sections 318(1) and 351(3) of BNS. 1/4

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submits that, based on the complaint given by one Muthumari on 24.06.2025, a case has been registered against the petitioner for the offences under Sections 79, 351(4) BNS and Section 67 of the Information Technology Act.

3. On perusal of the F.I.R., it indicates that the petitioner had contacted the de-facto complainant over phone and through Facebook, and informed her that obscene photos of the de-facto complainant had been uploaded on Facebook.

4. The petitioner, claiming innocence, has sought anticipatory bail alleging that, after borrowing the money from him, the de-facto complainant, in order to evade repayment, has given a false complaint.

5. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submits that, based on the complaint, a preliminary enquiry was conducted, and the WhatsApp and Facebook communications discloses a prima facie case against this petitioner.

6. This Court has also perused the Facebook conversations and finds that the custody of the petitioner is required.

7. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 20.08.2025 nvi 2/4
