2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was found in illegal possession of 10kg of Ganja. Hence, the case 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner is an innocent person and has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submits that the petitioner has been in judicial custody from 19.07.2025. Hence, prays for grant of bail to the petitioner.
4.The bail petition is opposed by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondent Police on the ground that the investigation has not been completed and that the petitioner had procured Ganja in bulk from Andhra Pradesh with an intention of selling it to retail peddlers in Tamil Nadu. Hence, since he is the source of supply, this aspect needs to be probed. If the petitioner is released on bail before that, he may abscond and tamper with evidence.
5.Heard the learned counsels on either side and perused the materials available on record.
