The petitioner seeks bail in Crime No.17 of 2023, registered by the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 417 & 376 of IPC. The petitioner had been taken into custody on 28.08.2023. 2.It is stated that both the petitioner and the defacto complainant were in a relationship and since there was a refusal to marry the complaint had been given.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner states that now an affidavit had been filed that the petitioner is ready to marry the defacto complainant. But, it all depends on the evidence, which she tenders before the Court. She has not yet been examined. Let the evidence of P.W.1/the defacto complainant be recorded and thereafter, further consideration can be heard about the grant of bail or not. At this stage, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. 4.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
