The petitioner herein alleging that the 2nd respondent is harassing him under the guise of enquiry based on the complaint registered in Crime No.173 of 2024 is before this Court seeking protection. 2.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for 1/4

the respondent police submits that based on the complaint given by one Kowsalya, wife of Sivakumar case been registered against this petitioner for offence under Sections 384, 354A, 506(2) IPC & Section 57 of IT Act.

The sum and substance of the complaint is in respect of extorting money and threat to life.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police further states that the petitioner is not available for enquiry and if he participate in the enquiry, the respondent police will proceed further on the complaint given by Kowsalya based on the material. Instead of participating in the enquiry, the petitioner is making a false allegations that he has been harassed under the guise of investigation.

The perusal of the FIR indicates that the long standing money transaction between the complainant and this petitioner has led to registration of the complaint. The cooperation of the petitioner for the investigation is necessary. Hence the respondent police shall cause 2/4

summon to the petitioner and conduct enquiry in the manner known to law.

With this direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
