O R D E R

(Order of the Court was delivered by R.SUBRAMANIAN, J.) In compliance with the order dated 27-04-2023 Patta has been issued for an extent of 8 acres and 71 cents. It is the apprehension of the learned counsel for the petitioner that because of this grant of patta for area more than what the petitioner has claimed, the respondents may deny compensation to the petitioner for the land acquired from the petitioner. The Bank has excluded an extent of 1 acre 81 cents as land acquired but the Advocate Commissioner has found that 2 acres 38 cents has been acquired. Therefore, the petitioner has purchased an extent of 57 cents which forms part of the acquired land. The petitioner can claim compensation for that land.

2. With the above observation, the contempt petition is closed.

3. The closure of the contempt petition, however, will not affect the petitioner from making any further claim on the strength of some document issued by the Bank.
