ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to direct the Judicial Magistrate-II, Puducherry to dispose of the case in C.C.No.294 of 2016 in accordance with directions passed in Criminal Appeal No.49/2018 dated 10.07.2019 by the II Additional Sessions Judge, Puducherry within a stipulated time.

2. Heard Mr.P.Suresh, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.K.S.Mohandoss, learned Public Prosecutor (Puducherry) appearing for the first respondent.

3. Taking into consideration the pendency of the case in C.C.No.294 of 2016 as well as the direction issued by the learned II Additional Sessions Judge, Puducherry in Crl.A.No.49 of 2018 dated 10.07.2019, to complete the trial in accordance with law, this Court directs the learned Judicial Magistrate II, Puducherry, to dispose of C.C.No.294 of 2016 on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four weeks form the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
