Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent herein to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 22.07.2022 regarding transfer of patta from petitioner's husband name to petitioner's name, within a time-frame.

O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the second respondent to consider her representation dated 22.07.2022 seeking transfer of patta in her name in respect of the property situated in S.Nos.267/10, 267/8 and 267/6, Plot Nos.14 & 15 with an extent of 1475 sq.ft., at Kottivakkam Village, Saidapet Taluk, Chennai.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that her husband Ramesh purchased the above mentioned property under a registered sale deed dated 20.04.1992. Subsequently, he died on 18.02.2022. The petitioner and her daughters are the legal representatives of the deceased Ramesh. The petitioner submitted a representation dated 22.07.2022 seeking transfer of patta issued in the name of legal heirs of the petitioner's husband and the same has not been 2/5

considered. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents 1 & 2 would submit that if proper online application is filed together with payment of necessary charges, the same will be considered in accordance with law, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

4. In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, she is directed to submit proper online application and pay necessary charges for transfer of patta within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If any such application is filed within the time stipulated, the second respondent shall consider the same and pass final order, on its own merits, within a further period of six weeks thereafter.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
