Prayer in W.P.No.29986 of 2019:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to pass orders for granting approval of appointment of the petitioner in the post of Secondary Grade Teacher in 4th Respondent School with payment of salary from the date of appointment on 23.03.2017 with consequential and other attendant benefits.

Prayer in W.P.No.29990 of 2019:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to pass orders for granting approval of appointment of the petitioner in the post of Secondary Grade Teacher in 4th Respondent School with payment of salary from the date of appointment on 23.03.2017 with consequential and other attendant benefits.

2.The case of the petitioners is that they were qualified with Diploma in Teacher Education (D.T.Ed) and therefore they are eligible for appointment to the post of Secondary Grade Teacher. The fourth respondent school coming under the Corporate Management of CSI. In the said school, a vacancy to the post of Secondary Grade Teacher arose due to the transfer of incumbents, namely Santhi Beaula and S.Premkumar respectively. In the resultant vacancy to the post of Secondary Grade Teacher in Kolanjivadi CSI Elementary School and Mulanur CSI Primary School, the petitioners were appointed as Secondary Grade Teacher vide orders dated 23.03.2017 and 18.03.2017 and on the same day they joined duty. They were appointed in the sanctioned post as per staff fixation order. The fourth respondent school sent proposals dated 31.03.2017 and 31.01.2018 for approval of the petitioners appointments. However, the same has not been considered so far. Hence, the petitioners have filed the present petition.

3.Heard both sides.

4.The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that it would suffice, if a direction is issued to the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the proposals dated 31.03.2017 and 31.01.2018 of the fourth respondent School and pass orders, within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.

5.Though the petitioners have sought for a larger relief, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the proposals dated 31.03.2017 and 31.01.2018 and pass orders on the said proposal in accordance with law and as per the existing scheme within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, these writ petitions stand disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. No costs.
