Order Heard Mr.P.Arasaprabu, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice on behalf of respondents. With consent, the main Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

This Writ Petition is filed seeking for the following relief:- i) To issue mandamus to 1st and 2nd respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.03.2025 and to dispose of petitioner's Appeal/Application dated 02.05.2024 pending before the second respondent within a time frame fixed by this Court.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner made an application before the Tahsildar, Pallavaram Taluk, seeking for issuance of patta in respect of her property; that the Tahsildar vide order dated 30.11.2023, rejected the petitioner's application, against which, the petitioner preferred an Appeal dated 02.05.2024 before the Revenue Divisional Officer; that since the Appeal has not been considered, 2/5

the petitioner made an representation dated 08.03.2025 to the first and second respondents requesting them to take action on the petitioner's Appeal, however, neither the Appeal filed by the petitioner nor the representation made seeking for earlier disposal of the Appeal has been disposed, hence, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition seeking for aforesaid prayer.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader (T) for the respondent fairly submitted that the appeal filed by the petitioner would be considered and disposed of in accordance with law within the time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

Considering the aforesaid submissions and the limited scope of the prayer, sought for by the petitioner, in this Writ Petition, this Court, without expressing any view with regard to the merits of the contentions putforth by the petitioner either in the Writ Petition or in the Appeal, is of the view that, suffice it would be to direct the second respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's Appeal in a time bound manner. 3/5

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the Appeal made by the petitioner dated 02.05.2024 and dispose of the same as early as possible, preferably, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
