ORDER

Heard Mr.M.Md.Ibrahim Ali, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Kanmani Annamalai, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 2.The petitioner seeks for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to dispose of the APCST 179/02 filed by the petitioner on 08.05.2002 against the order of assessment dated 28.03.2002 for the assessment year 1996-1997 under the Central Sales Tax.

3.The learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents submits that as of now orders would have been passed by the 2nd respondent viz., the Appellate Assistant Commissioner. However, there is no records to show that whether the order has been passed. In any event, if orders have not been passed in the appeal petition, the 2nd respondent shall pass orders on merits https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
