O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to include the name of the petitioner in the list of panel for the post of Associate Professor by considering her application dated 20.10.2022 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner is presently working as Assistant Professor with the third respondent Medical College. The grievance of the petitioner is that promotion panel has not been drawn by the respondents to get promotion to the post of Associate Professor. The petitioner submitted a representation on 20.10.2022 to the respondents requesting them to consider her case for promotion in the panel to be drawn by the respondents for the post of Associate Professor. Since the application has not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

3. Heard Mr.K.Sathish Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.Stalin Abimanyu, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent of both the parties, the main writ petition has been taken up for final disposal.

4. The petitioner has filed documents along with this writ petition in support 2/4

of her case that she is entitled for promotion to the post of Associate Professor. It is for the respondents to consider the same on merits and in accordance with law. The petitioner has also submitted a representation on 20.10.2022.

5. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner's representation dated 20.10.2022 is considered on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

6. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the second respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation dated 20.10.2022 requesting the respondents to draw a panel to the post of Associate Professor in the third respondent Medical College by including the name of the petitioner within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
