JUDGMENT

(Judgment of the Court was delivered by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) This writ appeal filed under Clause 15 of the Letters Patent, assails the order dated 28.02.2024 passed in Review Application (Writ) No.162 of 2023 in WP No.11764 of 2012 whereby the writ petition filed by the appellants seeking re-conveyance of the subject land was dismissed.

2. Brief facts are that the appellants are the legal heirs of the original owner of the land to an extent of 2.45 acres situate in S.No.81/3A at Kondasamuthiram Village, Gudiyatham Taluk, Vellore District. The appellants had filed representation on 02.01.2012, seeking re-conveyance of the subject land. The representation was rejected vide order dated 03.08.2012. The original land owner had already challenged the acquisition proceedings in WP No.2300 of 2003 and the same was dismissed. Appeal filed against the said order in WA No.170 of 2010 was also dismissed vide judgment dated 01.11.2010. Thereafter, the entire acquisition proceedings were completed and land was also allotted to the beneficiaries.

4. Admittedly, the appellants have not challenged the order dated 03.08.2012, rejecting the re-conveyance of the subject-lands. At present, the acquisition proceedings have also attained finality.

5. In view of the aforesaid, learned Single Judge has not committed any error in dismissing the writ petition. The review application filed to review the said order was also rightly rejected, as no new grounds have been raised to review the writ order. This writ appeal, being bereft of materials and substance, is therefore dismissed. There will be no order as to costs. (SUSHRUT ARVIND DHARMADHIKARI, CJ.) (G.
