Mr.J.C.Durairaj, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice for respondents and is armed with instructions to enable final disposal of this Writ Petition, even at the stage of admission.

2. The petitioner claims to be the daughter of one Manikam S/o. Narayana Gounder, who passed away in her residence on 12.01.1996. She had given a representation dated 28.03.2023 to the 2nd respondent/Thasildar, Thiruvennainallur Taluk, Villupuram District seeking death certificate of her father.

3. This Writ petition is filed seeking a mandamus directing R2 to grant the death certificate by considering her representation.

4. Mr.Durairaj appearing for the respondents would state that R2 may be directed to consider the application on merits.

5. There is an intra office communication in Na.Ka.No.A4/722/2023 dated 19.04.2023 indicating that there is some progress in the processing of the application itself.

6. Hence, mandamus is issued to R2 to hear the petitioner as well as any other parties who may be thought necessary to decide the matter and dispose the representation of the petitioner dated 28.03.2023 in accordance with law and on basis of the prevailing Rules and Regulations within a period of eight (8) weeks from today.
