PRAYER: Plaint filed under Order IV Rule 1 of Original Side Rules read with Order VII Rule 1 C.P.C., praying for a judgment and decree in favour of the plaintiff and against the defendant:

a) Directing the defendant to pay a sum of Rs.10,00,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Crores Only) along with interest @ 24% per annum from the date of the plaint till the date of realization of the decree; b) Granting an order of permanent injunction restraining the defendant, his men, agents, staff or any other person acting on behalf of the defendant from in any manner stating, propagating, airing or repeating 1/4

or communicating to the public the view that the plaintiff or the Chairperson of the plaintiff, Mr.Subhash Karan or the Directors of the plaintiff are in any way connected to the Sri Lankan Government or the former President of Sri Lanka, Mr.Rajapakse or in any other way linking the business or charitable activities of the plaintiff to the Sri Lankan Government or Mr.Rajapakse; and from stating that the plaintiff company has been exported by the Sri Lankan Government or in any other way repeating again or propagating or airing or causing to be disseminated the views of the defendant stated in the debate dated 25.03.2017 either in the press, media or in any other TV channels or in any social media.

J U D G M E N T

The signatory to the plaint, Thiru.Neelakant Narayanpur, who is the Director of the plaintiff company and the learned counsel for the plaintiff are present in Court.

2. A copy of the letter dated 01.08.2025 addressed to the learned counsel for the plaintiff by the plaintiff had been filed along with a memo for withdrawal of the suit, which had been signed by the plaintiff and by the 2/4

learned counsel for the plaintiff.

3. Necessary endorsement has also been made in the plaint both by the plaintiff and by the learned counsel plaintiff.

4. The suit is dismissed as withdrawn. No costs.
