The petitioner herein seek anticipatory bail in Crime No.372 of 2023 registered by the respondent Police for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 294(b), 341, 324, 379, 307, 506(ii) IPC.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner states that he has been falsely implicated as an accused in Crime No.372 of 2023 registered by the respondent Police for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 294(b), 341, 324, 379, 307, 506(ii) IPC for an occurrence which took place on 08.08.2023. He is innocent. Thus, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) stated that 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th accused had been taken into custody and are still in prison. It is stated that, owing to a previous enmity, the defacto complainant was indiscriminately cut on the head and suffered multiple injuries. The petitioner is the one of the main accused who caused injuries to the defacto complainant.

4. In view of all the factors, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
