Mr. Rahul Aditya, learned counsel on behalf of Ms.P.T.Ramadevi, learned Standing Counsel accepts notice for R1/contesting respondent and Mr.P.Ganesan, learned Additional Government Pleader for R2 and R3. They are armed with instructions to enable final disposal of this Writ Petition, even at the stage of admission.

2. The prayer of the petitioner is for a mandamus directing R1 to consider her representation dated 17.10.2023 and change her name in her child's birth certificate.

3. Learned counsel for R1 would submit that certain particulars are required to process the representation, which has, admittedly, not been received by the authority.

4. Thus, mandamus is issued to R1 to issue notice to the petitioner calling for particulars, hear her after furnishing of particulars and pass an order thereafter on the representation of the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law, all within a period of six (6) weeks from date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2 / 4
