O R D E R

The prayer in the present petition is to call for the records in FIR.No.148 of 2019 dated 02.05.2019 filed by the 1st respondent police and to quash the same.

2. Among the other offences, for which the petitioner herein has been implicated, Section 307 Cr.P.C., is one among them. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the complainant is the brother-in-law of the accused/petitioner and there is a possibility that the matter could be compromised between them.

3. It is not possible to quash the present FIR on such a ground, since the offence, for which the petitioner has been implicated, is non-compoundable. Even otherwise, if the petitioner is of the view that the matter could be sought to be quashed on the ground of compromise under Section 482 Cr.P.C., it is always open to them to approach this Court at a later stage. Further, since no valid grounds have been raised for the purpose of quashing the FIR, I do not find any merits https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

in the present petition. It is made clear that the respondent police shall endeavor to complete the investigation as expeditiously as possible.

4. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
