This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to complete the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.1021 of 2021.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent. 3.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that though the respondent police has registered a case in Crime No.1021 of 2021 on 28.12.2021, the investigation is still pending and so far no action has been taken even to secure a single accused in this case. 4.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent would submit that the investigation has already been completed and charge sheet has been filed by stating that the case is referred as 'mistake of fact'.

However, it is obligatory on the part of the investigating agency to give notice to the de facto complainant about referring the charge sheet. On getting notice, the petitioner is at liberty to file protest petition / private complaint by invoking appropriate provisions of law, if she is so advised.

With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
