The petitioner herein is a named accused in Crime No.271 of 2024. The complaint against this petitioner and others by one Lakshmi disclosed offence under Section 294(b) and 506(i) IPC. 2.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that 1/4

as far as this petitioner is concerned, who is the 3rd accused, there is no overt act attributed by him in the complaint and therefore, the case has to be quashed.

Per contra, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police submits that it is a case and case in counter. A complaint by one Gunavathi, who is the 1st accused in Crime No.271 of 2024 been registered against Prabakaran, Lakshmi and another person for offence under Sections 294(b), 442, 324, 355, 427 & 506(i) IPC. Both the complaints arising out of the same transaction. He further submits that the investigation in the case and case in counter be conducted in terms of Police Standing Order 566 and appropriate final report will be filed.
