Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the firs respondent to dispose of the petitioner's application dated 22.04.2021 for conducting survey and demarcation of the boundaries in Survey Numbers 186/1, 186/12, 197/2, 146/2 and 185/2 situated at Sekkadu Village, Avadi Taluk, Thiruvallur District, within a stipulated time as fixed y this Court.

O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the first respondent to dispose of his application dated 22.04.2021 seeking survey of the land situated in survey Nos.186/1, 186/12, 197/2, 146/2 and 185/2, Sekkadu Village, Avadi Taluk, Thiruvallur District.

2. By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as respondents, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that his father acquired the above mentioned property under sale deed dated 05.11.1982. After the death of his father, the petitioner and other legal heirs are in possession and enjoyment of the said property. The petitioner submitted an application before the first respondent on 22.04.2021 seeking survey of the above mentioned land and also paid necessary charges. Inspite of the same, the first respondent has not surveyed the property till date. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court. 2/5

4. Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents would submit that the application of the petitioner would be considered on its own merits and appropriate orders will be passed.

In view of the above submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the first respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 22.04.2021 and pass final orders, after issuing notice to all interested parties, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
