The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 10.08.2023, in Crime No.12 of 2023, on the file of the respondent police, for the offences punishable under Sections 7 & 8 of POCSO Act, seeks bail.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner stated that petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in the case. Thus, he seeks bail to the petitioner.

3. It is stated by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) that, the petitioner herein is stated to be a Siddha Doctor. The defacto complainant's daughter, who is a child of 15 years was sick on the date of the incident and nobody was there in the house. The petitioner appears to have told the victim child that if he gives treatment, sickness would go away and took her to the Pooja room. After locking the door, he committed the offences mentioned in the FIR. The victim child has repeated the same in the statement made under Section 164 Cr.P.C.
